Cultural Club

Gone are the days when only academic programs were the only activities organised in colleges and all students focused on that. With the changing trend we have noticed a major difference in the field of academics too. Students don’t want to be bookworms; they look for other options that could help them in the future. Besides, this in this high tech world, every student wants to acquire knowledge in every field to stay updated. Co-circular activities play a vital role in the life of students, read on to know how.

Eco Club

On the occasion of the International Earth Day, the school formed an Eco-Club with an initial membership of about 40 students who were declared the Green Ambassadors. To mark this auspicious day the Green Ambassadors decorated each classroom with floral and leafy saplings planted and adopted by them. They even named the saplings after themselves later, the school organized a drawing and poster display competition. The theme for the competition was ‘Save Earth, Save Mankind’. Prior to this, the members of the Club organized a tree plantation campaign and planted a number of herbal and medicinal plants in the school premises. The Eco Club also organized a mass campaign ‘Green Veral, Clean Veral’ which has become a campaign of the whole city, joined by the people from different walks of life and city administration who work hand in hand with the young students. A well planned rain water harvesting system,use of recycled paper in the school, arrangement of separate bins for biodegradable and non-degradable wastes are some of the other measures taken by the school to nip the problem of environmental degradation in the bud.

Health & Wellness Club

As per the requirement of the present day in the Indian society, it has been decided that care for the health of citizens has to be taken care right from the childhood. For this government at national and international level it has been doing many things through certain projects with the help of UNO and UNICEF. Reeling this our SSKEM School too decided to introduce a Health and Wellness Club was formed in the school. The main aim of this Club is to make the students aware of their health hygiene of self and their surroundings. This would also help us to utilise the maximum energy of the adolescent for  creativity, discovery and exploration of the best in the world. This will also control the feelings of frustration,anger, and confusion isolation etc. due to certain physical hormonal and mental changes at this period of growth.
This Club formed consists of two teachers in –charge with four students as leaders for the smooth running of the Club

WE HAVE FOUNDED OUR HERITAGE CLUB
I am proud of the rich culture and heritage of India. I will respect all monuments which are a part      of my country’s heritage. I will not scribble, deface or encroach upon any monument. I pledge to render all possible help to conserve and preserve our heritage. I along with my school mates will endeavour to save and protect the heritage site at (RASALGAD, BUDDHA CAVES at khed)

Integrity Club

Integrity Club (IC), a co-curricular activity for students of class VI – IX was launched by Shri Pratyush Sinha, Central Vigilance Commissioner on 17th April, 2009 in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Rangpuri. The launching ceremony was attended by Shri Rang Lal Jamuda, Commissioner,KV Sangathan and Shri V.P. Agrawal, Chairman AAI besides several dignitaries from various educational bodies. The Club was initiated as a pilot by Corporate Vigilance Department, under the leadership of Shri D.S.Mishra, CVO, at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Rangpuri. IC, like NCC, NSS, Scouts, etc., is an extra-curricular activity to rekindle human values in school children during their formative years. A Manual prepared by CVD, giving details of why and how to form IC, and proposed activities during the year, was released by CVC on this occasion. The members of IC are called as ‘Young Champions of Ethics’ (YCEs) with living values as their motto.Strategy of the Club is “Children learn distinct values playfully as a game and become Champions of Ethics by developing their ethical muscles through practice in their real lives”.                                                                      Twelve specific values viz. Integrity,Patriotism, Tolerance, Secularism, Simplicity, Honesty, Compassion, Responsibility, Respect, Non-Violence and Unity were identified for inculcating and strengthening through various activities in the Club.

Language Club

Today, English has become a world-wide language. Whether you are a beginner or expert in English, spoken English can lead you to next level. English is the first language for many countries. It is present in many forms like British English, American English and they are diverse in their compliments. To run any kind of event or to appear any job interview we need better English and it can be possible with Language Club.

Reading Club

The pledge reads as:
We who love books
Some books I’ll never give away,
Though old and worn, their binding torn,
Upon my shelves they’ll always stay,
Alive, still read, still fresh each dawn,
Their magic moments never gone.
Great verse, great thoughts, still stand the test
Of time that’s passing by so fast…

Science Club

Science Club is an afterschool, mentor-based science program for middle school youth. This program brings graduate student mentors together with small groups of students to conduct fun    and engaging scientific investigations.The mentorship-based, science education model includes:
A focus on long term, academically-focused relationships between youth club members and practicing scientists. Hands-on science curricula, spanning topics like biomedical engineering, medicine, food science, environmental science, audiology, and neuroscience. A fun event at the end of each curricular unit where students share their work with friends and family. Rigorous evaluation and evidence-based methods designed to learn what’s working (and what’s not) and
share it with the wider community.

Scoute Guide Club

As we know ‘Be Prepared’ is the motto of Scouts & Guide. ‘Be the Best’ is the motto of SSKEM School. To make the students perfect, punctual, disciplined and to inculcate helping tendency, universal Brotherhood among the students, we encourage Scouts and Guides in our school. Camps are conducted and students are trained for the Presidential awards.

Sports Club

Physical fitness is one of the most important elements of leading a healthy life. Physical education promotes the importance of inclusion of a regular fitness activity in the routine. This helps the students to maintain their fitness, develop their muscular strength, increase their stamina and thus stretch their physical abilities to an optimum level. Sports help inculcate discipline, Selfconfidence, team spirit, sense of belonging, pride, achievement and Self-esteem. Students also understand that victory and defeat is an ongoing process.
